the faith of Mother Teresa

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1655415-1,00.html

The article says that the faith of Mother Theresa was emptiness with great distance from God...

Does that affect our life at all? Was that a shock to you?

I wasn't too surprised though she was someone I respect in doing all those great work at a poor place. Her effort and love was well respected. The distance with God that one could feel does become far than we understand while we submit totally for Him.

That could be a kind of desert phenomenon, that one spiritual level is tempted or temporary detach from the source of strength and feel like walking alone, to a point of despair that better die than alive. But that could be a point that we realised God is behind as well as the famour Footprint story always being heard...

What would you do, if at the end of the day there's no God and you have been spending your whole life to follow the teaching and live as a follower?

I have no regret at all as I regarded it as a better way to live, it really works!

The Big Three for Missions

1. Prayer - the most effective passport to be with the mission.
2. Offering - no concern financially for the mission.
3. Correspondence is a morale booster for our mission.

Indeed, for people who is away from home, 1 and 3 can make them happy as well..!

The biggest enemy....?!

still ourselves ba...

NO challenge, no vision, no motive, no God's word...

We have: lazyness, things we pursuit (but got nothing to do for self-improvment or relationship with God..)

Time flies, it's cruel but it's true..

What are we doing? Where are we going? How do you want to become? How do you want to be like?

For those who got lost, sit down and take a rest to think
For those who are tired, sit down and take rest and continue
For those who is winning, do not be proud or being prided..

Go, to the end of the road... we will be there.

Commitment Card

So the church in here: gsccc.org.sg
was having a mission weekend. The last sermon for sure will ask you to think of what commitment would you like to make...

Here are some of the boxes I ticked (nowadays, they don't ask people to stand-up or raise hand, they are asking you to fill up form as not to be too offensive or time-saving perhaps?!)

1. Receiving theological training or attending courses in Bible colleges
2. Witnessing in my workplace/school/home
3. Writing regularly to our missionaries to show our care.

1. is definitely will try when I got a stable job in the future... do it bit by bit.
2. at home, no problem as a good son, workplace will try to be more mercy and patient with Christ helps..
3. keep supporting one or two of them, they are pretty busy somehow, but we know they are facing great spiritual warfare le..

Let's see see how this will be in the coming days..!

True Spirituality...

manifests itself in certain dominant desires.

1. First is the desire to be holy rather than happy.
2. A man may be considered spiritual when he wants t see the honor of God advanced through his life.
3. The spiritual man wants to carry his cross.
4. Again a Christian is spiritual when he sees everything from God's viewpoint.
5. Another desire of the spiritual man is to die right rather than to live wrong.
6. The desire to see others advance at his expense.
7. The spiritual man habitually majes eternity-judgments instead of time-judgments.
